Project 01: It's PrEP, Bitch

Integrated Marketing Campaign

“It’s PrEP Bitch,” aimed at dismantling stigma surrounding HIV prevention medication while fostering a more inclusive dialogue about sexual health. In a bold move to address the lack of open sexual education in many households and cultures, the campaign seeks to raise awareness and promote safe-sex practices for all individuals.The campaign’s centerpiece is a captivating song and music video, paying homage to the rich history of music and dance in uniting communities. Drawing inspiration from powerful movements such as Jazz and Vogue, “It’s PrEP Bitch” aims to empower individuals to reclaim their sexual freedom and embrace acceptance without fear.

Project 02: Owning My Crown

Integrated Marketing Campaign

Raising awareness about PrEP in Toronto’s diverse queer community is crucial for reducing HIV transmission, improving healthcare access, combating stigma, and positively impacting public health. By educating individuals about the benefits of PrEP, we empower them to protect themselves and their partners, leading to a significant reduction in new HIV infections.Improving healthcare access involves informing the community about PrEP availability, encouraging discussions with healthcare providers, and ensuring equitable access to medications and services.

Project 03: Body + Soul Fitness

Rebranding

During my time at Body+Soul Fitness, I helped establish brand guidelines and led the migration of our website from Squarespace to WordPress. I collaborated closely with the Marketing Coordinator on social media and blog posts, ensuring they reflected our brand’s vision. Additionally, I worked with the President and Full Stack Developer on a Fitness Tracker project, contributing insights and support. Together, we enhanced the brand’s identity and digital presence.

Growing up in Dukhan, Qatar, a small town of about 7,000 people, I learned to harness imagination and strategy early on. Immigrating to Canada added resilience to my skill set as I navigated my identity as a gay man while building a career in design, far from my family’s expectations. After a brief stint in animation, I found my true calling in design, graduating with honors from Humber and Seneca Colleges. My journey took me from creating consumer marketing materials at NutriAg to cost-efficient web solutions at Body + Soul Fitness, where I was driven to simplify complex challenges through design thinking.

A pivotal moment came when I joined Circle K, where I initiated the Data Merge project, increasing production threefold and demonstrating the power of combining strategy with technology. Simultaneously, my work with The PrEP Clinic brought my creativity to life, with award-winning campaigns like “Owning My Crown” and “It’s PrEP, Bitch.” Now, I’m passionate about balancing AI with human ingenuity, fostering ethical design processes, and championing innovation that empowers people and businesses alike.
